About Sound Systems

The designs and features of our units address the three most common sound systems.

Basic System
  • Sound comes from internal speakers in the TV.
  • DVD player, cable box, etc. are attached directly to the TV.
Sound Bar System
  • One component with multiple directional speakers.
  • DVD player, cable box, etc. are attached directly to the Sound Bar, then to the TV.
  • A subwoofer is typically a part of the system, but not stored in the furniture.
Surround Sound/Home Theater System
  • A multiple component system, generally consisting of five speakers and one subwoofer.
  • Center Channel speaker sits directly below and centered in front of the TV.
  • Four speakers are strategically placed around the room.
  • An amplifier powers the speakers for enhanced sound.
  • A subwoofer is typically a part of the system, but not stored in the furniture.
